Spiro Man Hurt After Motorcycle Hits Coyote

A Spiro man was injured after his motorcycle hit a coyote on Highway 59 on Saturday afternoon.

Jeffrey Foster, 48, was airlifted to St. John’s Hospital in Tulsa, where he was listed in stable conditions with multiple injuries. A police report said Foster was northbound on Highway 59 at a high rate of speed when a coyote ran across the road.

The report said Foster was thrown 26 feet from the force of the collision. The accident happened at approximately 1:19 p.m. about one mile north of Cowlington Road in LeFlore County.
