Thirty people were arrested at a house party in Van Buren after officers responded to a loud party early Saturday morning (March 16.)
Detective Jonathan Wear with the Van Buren Police Department said officers arrived at 710 Adeline Drive around 1:30 a.m. When the officers arrived multiple people ran from the scene, and alcohol containers were outside.
Inside, officers found intoxicated adults and juveniles ranging in age from 14 to 30. Alcohol and marijuana was also found inside.
Thirty people were arrested total. Ten were charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Ten were charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and public intoxication and 10 were charged with minor in possession of alcohol and public intoxication, according to a police report.
"That`s one thing most people don`t realize, you don`t actually have to supply it," said Det. Wear. "If you are just encouraging a juvenile or a minor to drink, you could be charged with contributing."
