36 Plants, Guns Seized in Spiro Pot Bust

LeFlore County deputies busted an indoor marijuana growing operation Friday night (March 22), according to the sheriff’s office.

They executed a search warrant at a residence of a convicted felon on Tucker Road outside of Spiro.

Inside the home they found 36 pot plants, five guns, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia, according to Undersheriff Kendall Morgan.

The homeowner, Steve Cox, was not home at the time, according to Morgan.

Morgan expects an arrest will be made soon.

Poteau police, Panama police, Rock Island police, Howe police and members of the 16th Judicial Drug Task Force in LeFlore County assisted with the investigation.
