The Bentonville Bomb Squad is on its way to Carroll County while Green Forest police try to figure out if a substance left at the police station is explosive.

A man walked into the Green Forest Police Department on Monday and gave police a putty-like substance that he believed may be an explosive, said Green Forest Police Chief John Bailey.

Police called the bomb squad for advice on whether the substance is dangerous, Bailey said.

Police said there is likely no imminent threat related to the incident.
