Three Northwest Arkansas residents were arrested on a slew of felony drug charges after a traffic stop in Benton County Tuesday (March 26).
Detectives stopped a green Oldsmobile passenger car driven by Aaron Sheets, 29, of Bella Vista, at the intersection of Highway 72 East and Price Coffee Road in Bentonville just before midnight, according to a deputy’s report.
Sheets and his passengers Dasha Castleman, 23, of Pea Ridge, and Brennon Fetherolf, 20, of Fayetteville, were asked to step out of the car and deputies saw a plastic bag containing about eight grams of methamphetamine in the front seat.
Upon searching the vehicle, officers found a loaded 380 caliber semi-automatic handgun with the serial number removed, a set of digital scales, two syringes, and stolen checks, the report states.
All three were arrested felony possession of a controlled substance and taken to the Benton County Jail. A jailer later found two more bags of suspected meth and a small bag of marijuana concealed under Castleman her clothing.
At the time of the arrest, Sheets was a parolee on active supervision through the Arkansas Department of Community Corrections, according to the sheriff’s office. Fetherolf and Castleman were both on probation, as well.
