Two kids who grew up playing against one another are now going to try to win a national championship together.

Ian Carter and Cameron Adams led Drury University to a 107-97 win against Western Washington in the Division II Final Four Saturday afternoon at Freedom Hall in Louisville, KY.

Western Washington was the defending national champion.

Carter, a Northside graduate, had 19 points and 8 rebounds in the wine while Adams, a Southside graduate, finished with 12 points and a pair of monstrous dunks late in the game.

Drury will take on Metro State for the national championship on April 7 in Atlanta.

The Panthers are 30-4 after the win and have won 22 straight games dating back to Jan. 10.

Adams averages 9.9 points per game while Carter adds 9.2 per outing. Carter also leads the team with 5.4 rebounds per game.
