Randall Fant continues to own the No. 3 starter role for the Razorbacks.

Fant put together his third straight, impressive performance in a SEC game as Arkansas posted a 3-1 win to claim the series from Mississippi State.

The left hander went six innings, allowing just one run on four hits while striking out six and walking two.

Colby Suggs picked up the save for the second straight day as he retired the side in the ninth.

Arkansas did all of its damage in the first inning as they led 3-0 just three outs into the game. Tyler Spoon started things with a RBI double then another run scored after a double play.

Arkansas has now won 14 of their last 17 games, dating back to the trip to Arizona that ended on Mar. 3.

The Razorbacks improved to 6-3 in the SEC and are off until next Thursday when they start a three game series at Alabama.
