A Rogers woman is facing an aggravated assault charge and several drug charges after a physical disturbance with her boyfriend early Sunday morning in Fayetteville.

Tuesday Parks, 31, was booked into the Washington County Detention Center on Saturday morning and has a bond of $5,000, according to the Sheriff’s Department website. Parks faces charges of aggravated assault, introducing a controlled substance into a secure facility and tampering with evidence, as well as drug possession charges, third-degree domestic battery and endangering the welfare of a minor.

A preliminary police report said Fayetteville officers responded to a disturbance call on the 2100 block of Stone Street early Sunday morning. Officers said a woman, identified as Parks, was being “verbally combative” with anyone who talked to her and appeared to be highly intoxicated on drugs, the report said.

Her boyfriend told officers he took some pills from her and she pushed him against a door three times and began to choke him, the report said. The officers said the boyfriend had redness and swelling on his neck, the report said.

When Parks was arrested, officers said they found a marijuana pipe and a pill in her pants pocket, the report said. Officers were told the woman had instructed her daughter to hide pills in the residence, and the pills were given to the officers, the report said, and included approximately 73 tablets of various prescription drugs.

While being transported to the jail, officers said they noticed Parks making “numerous furtive movements” and unbuttoning her pants, the report said. A strip search discovered a prescription bottle containing 45 pills in Parks’ vagina, the report said.

The report said Parks threw the bottle into the toilet of the holding cell and attempted to flush the commode, but jail personnel were able to retrieve the bottle.
