Flash Flood Warning Issued For Arkansas Counties

Group Works to Save Animals in Arkansas Oil Spill

Animals are being treated for oil exposure following the oil pipeline rupture in Mayflower on Friday, according a report from our Little Rock affiliate KTHV.

HAWK (Helping Arkansas Wild ‘Kritters’) in Russellville began taking in oil-covered ducks on Saturday and cleaning them. According to its facebook page, the Russellville Walmart donated cleaning items to help treat the animals, but the fully-volunteer organization needs more donations to treat the birds coming in.

For information on how to donate or help HAWK, contact them at (479) 222-0528. To see a list of items needed go to thv11.com
