Police caught up to a burglary suspect they say stole several items from a Fayetteville home last week while the owner recorded the incident.

Jaret Seales, 29, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of residential burglary. He remained Wednesday in the Washington County Detention Center on $3,500 bond, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Police said the alleged burglary victim caught video of one of the suspects with home surveillance equipment he had installed in his home. The suspect in the video has not been caught. Seales was likely the getaway driver, police said.

Police tell 5NEWS the other suspect's name is Andreas Yates.

Neighbors are glad one suspect is behind bars and think it's a matter of time before the second suspect is arrested.

"Everyone in the neighborhood I think pretty much thought that we would catch them because it was on video and we saw his car and his face," said Leanne Bowles.

The home surveillance on Providence Drive showed Seales’ green Ford pickup truck. Seales told detectives he drove the other suspect to a hardware store to buy nuts, to gain entry to the home by using a slingshot, according to a preliminary report from the Washington County Prosecutor’s Office.

"I was a little surprised, he's the only guy in the neighborhood that I think has security cameras, so it was pretty ironic," Bowles said.

A watch belonging to the alleged burglary victim was found in Seales’ truck, the report states. A search of Seales’ home yielded several items belonging to the victim, police said.

Detectives are looking for the other suspect in the case, who they said may go by the alias “D” or “Little D”.

Anyone with information on the case is encouraged to call the Fayetteville Police Department at 479-587-3555.
