A Fayetteville man has been arrested in connection with two commercial burglaries after police found him with stolen jewelry and a bottle of liquor early Friday morning.

Christopher Treat, 27, was arrested for two counts of Commercial Burglary, Criminal Mischief 1st Degree, Theft of Property and Public Intoxication, according to police.

Officers responded to an alarm at Swift Jewelers on N. Block Avenue around 4:30 a.m. Friday (April 5), a police report states.

When officers arrived on scene, they discovered a glass window had been broken and jewelry was missing from the business.

Later a man was spotted walking near Dickson Street and Locust Avenue. Police discovered the man had jewelry and a bottle of liquor with him. Officers later learned the man had broken into Dickson Street Liquor, the report states.
