A Springdale woman faces a felony charge of second-degree sexual assault after Fayetteville police said she abused a 16-year-old male patient at a health facility.

Adrienne Wright, 40, was booked in the Washington County Detention Center on Saturday evening (April 6) and has a $15,000 bond, according to the Sheriff’s Department website. Wright has a April 15 court date.

An arrest warrant was issued for Wright on April 1 after Fayetteville police filed a probable cause affidavit in March. The police had interviewed a 16-year-old boy, identified as “JK” at the Children Safety Center on Feb. 15 during which the boy alleged that an employee at a health facility had sexually assaulted him, the affidavit said.

The name of the health facility was redacted, but the affidavit said the boy was a live-in patient at the facility between Sept. 7 and Dec. 20 of last year. The affidavit said the boy was being treated for “anger issues.”

The boy told officers a female employee he knew as “Ms. A” had a sexual relationship with him that started a couple weeks after he entered the facility, the report said. The boy later identified Wright in a photo line-up, the report said.

The incidents happened at night and out of sight of security cameras, the boy told officers, and consisted of “hand jobs” and at least one instance of her performing oral sex on him, the report said. The boy told officers that on his birthday, Wright gave him and his roommate alcohol, which the roommate later confirmed, the affidavit said.

The roommate told police that he passed notes of a sexual nature from Wright to JK and saw the two together in the same bed, the affidavit said.
