Northwest Arkansas residents will have a chance to question area legislators Saturday (April 13) at two public forums on the private-option health care plan under discussion at the General Assembly.

The first forum is set for 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ambassadors for Christ Academy at 8579 W. Ford Springs Road in Bentonville.

The second is from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Spring Creek Fellowship Church at 2120 W. Emma Ave. in Springdale.

Legislators are considering allowing Arkansans who meet poverty guidelines to use federal Medicaid money to buy private insurance through the state insurance exchange.

Also Saturday, U.S. Rep. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., is the featured speaker at Conservative Arkansas’ April meeting at 10 a.m. in the Rogers Public Library at 711 S. Dixieland Road.
