Georgia Flat Road in Gravette, impassable as flood waters tore up portions of the gravel road and submerged about a quarter of a mile of it.

“We've been trying to get into work all day, noticed that it looks like it is passable now because we have a four-wheel drive truck and tried, got through one portion of it and got stuck,” said Maria, Gravette resident.

Maria and her husband made it about half way before they had to bail out of the window.

"It’s a matter of you don't try to step down as much as possible, the truck that we got is a four wheeled drive so we climbed out the window went to the back of the truck and jumped from the bed back," said Maria.

After walking a mile back to their home in wet clothes, a hot shower was in order, or so they thought.

"All the well water is muddy as everything you see in the fields so no laundry, no dishes, and no drinking water for at least a couple of days," Maria.

Behind their house, a green field that is normally dry now looks like a lake.

Maria and her husband were not injured.
