A Poteau man convicted of killing a Howe couple has an execution date set.
James DeRosa is scheduled to be executed June 18, according to the Oklahoma Attorney General’s office.
He was convicted for the brutal murder of 73-year-old Curtis Plummer and his 70-year-old wife Gloria in October 2001. Both victims were stabbed several times and had their throats slit.
DeRosa had two accomplices who got life sentences in exchange for testifying against him.
