Run support has been at a premium for both Arkansas and Georgia this weekend.

Luckily for the Razorbacks it has been just enough.

Jake Wise and Joe Serrano each had a RBI in the 8th inning to lift the Hogs to a 2-1 win at Georgia.

Arkansas clinched the series and will go for the sweep Sunday at 1 p.m.

Georgia (16-28, 4-16 SEC) took a 1-0 lead in the seventh on a sacrifice fly from Kyle Farmer but the Hogs (29-15, 13-7) answered in the next half inning. Jacob Mahan led off the visitor’s eighth inning with a double then Wise tied the game with a single to left. Serrano then drove in the game winning run as he stroked a hanging breaking ball to center.

For the second straight day the Arkansas pitching staff did more than their fair share. Ryne Stanek threw 6 2/3 innings while allowing just one run and struck out three to get the no decision. Jalen Beeks got the win in relief while Colby Suggs came on in the ninth to record his seventh save of the year.

Georgia’s Sean McLaughlin threw a complete game while allowing just five hits but was saddled with the loss.
