Cox Communications customers in the company’s Bentonville and Siloam Springs “hubs” lost all services early Tuesday (April 30) but had their service restored by the end of the work day, according to the company.

“We are very sorry for the inconvenience Cox customers have experienced today as a result of the service outage in our area,” according to a statement from Kelly Zega, director of public affairs.

The company learned of the problem through a power alarm about 4:45 a.m. Tuesday and “immediately deployed technicians, engineers and electricians to resolve the situation,” according to the statement.

The company said service had been restored by midday for some customers and by 4:30 p.m. for all customers.

The statement did not indicate how many customers were without service during the day.

Cox provides television, Internet, telephone and other services for its customers.
