Rescuers stayed busy early Thursday morning after being called out to two separate rollover accidents with suspected drunk drivers.

Shortly before 3 a.m. responders rescued a man trapped in a van that flipped into a ditch near the intersection of Highway 112 and Hwy. 120 in Rock Island, Okla., south of Pocola. Police at the scene of that accident said the driver was suspected of drunk driving, and was taken away by ambulance after the crash.

No one else was involved in that crash and the accident didn’t cause any major delays. Then shortly before 5 a.m. several police units were called out to Highway 96 and Division in Lavaca after getting reports that a Red Ford Escape rolled over multiple times.

This single-car Lavaca accident shut down traffic for nearly 30 minutes while a tow truck moved the SUV off the roadway. Lavaca Police at the scene of the crash said the driver involved was also suspected of driving while intoxicated. He was treated for minor injuries at the scene before being taken away by police.
