An 18-year-old Fayetteville man is dead after an apparent carjacking and kidnapping in Little Rock overnight.

Forrest Abrams was found dead from a gunshot wound in the middle of 11th Street shortly after 5 a.m. Friday (May 10), according to a Little Rock police report.

Officers responded to a report of a carjacking nearby. Abrams friend, Tyler Hodges, 22, of Little Rock, told police that he and Abrams had been approached by three black men at a gas station at 12th and Woodrow. The men demanded a ride at gunpoint, the report states.

Hodges told police that they drove to a house at 4th and Woodrow where they got out of the vehicle and stayed for a while. But a short time later, the three suspects left with Abrams.

Abrams was later found shot to death. The victim’s vehicle was found abandoned around 9 a.m. on Charles and Bussey Avenue, according to police.

Little Rock police are searching for the suspects, believed to be black males in their 30s with medium builds.

It’s the city’s 12th homicide of year.

Abrams’ girlfriend, Ashley Nicole, told 5NEWS, “Forrest has the biggest heart of anyone I’ve ever met…(I)t truly breaks my heart to think someone could do this to my Forrest.”
