Families were out in numbers celebrating moms on Mother's Day.
Some Fort Smith moms said it is all about families, but it's nice to get a nice gift, too.
"Not having to do dishes is good," said Kim Wohlford. "Having some free time and getting to be with family."
"Mother's Day is to celebrate your mother, and do whatever it is she wants to do, and to be loved and show love," said Lady Eady.
Many restaurants in Fort Smith had special discounts for Mother's Day.
