A fire near Mansfield damaged a sawdust mill Monday afternoon (May 13), according a Sebastian County dispatcher.
It started when a loader caught fire at the shavings mill on Highway 71 in Sebastian County, according to firefighters on the scene. A truck and other equipment was also damaged when wind caused the fire to spread.
Several volunteer fire departments, including Sugarloaf and Mansfield, responded to the scene around 4:30 p.m. The fire was contained a little less than two hours later.
No injuries were reported.
Firefighters plan to stay on the scene to make sure it does not rekindle.
