The body of a Walnut Ridge, Ark., teen was found by a fisherman in the Black River near the Lawrence and Randolph County lines Saturday evening (May 18), according to a report from KAIT.

The sheriff confirmed the positive identification of 14-year-old Sidney Randall shortly before 11:30 a.m. Monday (May 20).

The body had been caught in a tree in the water about 1.5 miles south of a boat ramp at Davidsonville State Park, according to the report.

Randall was reported missing in March 10. Her suspected kidnapper and stepfather, John Cornwell, was found dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound on a piece of farmland the next day.
