Hogs Face Ole Miss In SEC Tournament

Arkansas has a chance to get a bit of revenge against Ole Miss when the two face at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday morning in the SEC Tournament.

Ole Miss knocked out the Razorbacks in Hoover, Ala. last season,. The Rebels also took two of three from Arkansas in the first SEC series of the season in mid March.

The Rebels beat Kentucky 4-1 in the opening round of the tournament, eliminating the No. 11 seed Wildcats.

Mike Mayers picked up the win for Ole Miss after throwing 6 1/3 innings while allowing just one unearned run while striking out four. Four different players drove in a run for the Rebels in the opening game of the tournament.

Ole Miss won the first and third games of the SEC opening series in Fayetteville, including a 6-4 decision in 13 innings on Mar. 17. Arkansas won on Saturday that weekend, 10-1.

Arkansas went 0-2 in the SEC tournament last season, losing 9-1 to Mississippi State and then 2-0 to Ole Miss. The Rebels have won five of the last seven meetings with Arkansas.
