A powerful storm Thursday (May 30) caused injuries and damage in the western Arkansas town of Oden.

Montgomery County Deputy Sheriff Thomas Goad said he was unsure about the nature or number of injuries.

But the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management says five people were injured and at least two homes were destroyed.

Downed power lines were also reported, according to the sheriff.
