Scott County Judge James Forbes says the priority for the county is to get residents back into their homes.

Thanks to donations still coming in, they are closer to helping residents rebuild.

“We’ve got a lot of donations with lumber and sheet rock, nails, screws, all those kinds of things,” the judge said. “We are getting it to the people. Hopefully by Friday (June 14) we will have everybody that has requested assistance everything they need to get back into their homes with the exception of flooring and things like that.”

More than 70 homes were damaged or destroyed.

“99.1% of our help has come from Scott County, Northwest Arkansas, Sebastian County, Yell County, just mainly donations,” Forbes said.

So what do residents still need?

“We need sheetrock, nails, plywood, fencing materials, fencing anything that will help the agricultural base get back on track and anything that will help these guys get back in their homes,” Forbes said.
