What was once a way to crop, fix, filter and share your pictures is on the move–literally.
Instagram–with 130 million monthly users announced Thursday they are adding video to their picture sharing mix. Users can now shoot up to 15 seconds of video and share with their followers, all while slapping a filter on it, up to 13 are available for video sharing. As of now, you can only shoot video using Instagram, you will be unable to upload existing video like the photo sharing portion of Instagram.
Instagram, owned by Facebook, now goes up against the growing social media sharing “Vine”–owned by Twitter.
Instagram videos are allowed to be between three and fifteen seconds.
