Expect delays as construction near the Highway 71B Flyover project in Fayetteville reduces traffic to one lane. The change will take place Monday (June 24) and will last approximately two months.
Road crews will be shifting traffic along North College Avenue to build a retaining wall. A flyover bridge ramp and concrete barriers will also start to be built.
Once complete, the overpass will make it easier for drivers to access Interstate 540.
The project is expected to cost $7.7 million, 80 percent of that will be covered by federal money, the rest by the City of Fayetteville.
