About 200 workers were evacuated from a Tyson Foods plant Monday night in Clarksville following an ammonia leak, although no one was injured, according to a Tyson spokesman.

The circumstances of the ammonia leak on Cherry Street are under investigation by Tyson, said spokesman Worth Sparkman. When officials found out about the leak, they evacuated the plant at about 6:15 p.m.

Employees were allowed to go back inside the plant about one hour later and continued working, Sparkman said.
