Bella Vista Republican Dane Zimmerman announced Monday (July 1) he is running for the state House of Representatives in the 2014 election.
ZImmerman is running in House District 95, the Benton County district held by state Rep. Sue Scott, R-Rogers.
On his personal Facebook page, Zimmerman lists himself as an enrollment advisor at the University of Phoenix and CEO and founder of Ambassador Transportation Services.
“This decision is the result of extensive conversations with family, community members, and many nights of prayer,” he said in a news release. “It is my hope to bring a renewed energy to the District 95 seat. I will do this through consistent availability to the people of District 95 and through representation at the state Capitol. As your representative, I vow to remain committed to the values of the people of District 95 and will fight for legislation that will better the State of Arkansas and District 95.”
Zimmerman posted a campaign Facebook page on Monday and has a campaign website at Zimmerman4state.com.
