Matt Fields could argue that he's had the best week ever.

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals first baseman played in his first ever All-Star game last week. He won the home run derby as well. To cap off the eight day stretch, Fields was named the Topps Texas League Player of the Month.

Fields hit .300 for the month and led the league in six different categories including home runs (nine), RBI (25), extra base hits (15) and slugging percentage (.630).

The Naturals first baseman saw his batting average rise .32 points during the month of June. Over the past 10 games, Fields has 12 hits with three home runs and nine runs batted in.

Fields hit 24 home runs, including 11 in the final round, to win last week's home run derby at his home field, Arvest Ballpark.

His play is also a big reason why the Naturals are tied for the second half lead of the Texas League standings.
