The group, nicknamed "Youth Force" is made up of about 70 kids and their adult leaders from six eastern Oklahoma churches.
They’re doing home repairs for the elderly, as well as families in need, across Sequoyah County.
“It's great to see all these youth out working hard,” said Pastor Aaron Tiger, Trinity United Methodist. “I've heard nothing but good things from all of the job sites. Just good spirits, all the way around. It’s great for these youth, these teenagers, to give up a week of their lives to go and serve somebody they've never met before.”
For the teens to take part in this community mission project it cost them nearly $200. They'll be working on several projects in the area for the next week.
