Cecile Bledsoe, a Rogers Republican, announced Wednesday (July 10) she is seeking re-election in state Senate District 3 covering eastern portions of Benton County.
In a news release announcing her bid to win re-election in 2014, Bledsoe says she supports “pro-life legislation” and measures to shrink the size of government, lower taxes and protect property rights.
Bledsoe, a University of Georgia journalism graduate, has been a Rogers resident for more than 30 years, according to the release.
A former member of the state House of Representatives, Bledsoe is chairman of the Senate Public Health, Welfare and Labor Committee.
She and her husband, Jim, have three adult children and eight grandchildren.
