Eibner Earns Texas League Honors

Former Razorback honored by league for second time this season after huge week.

Brett Eibner was more than on a hot streak last week. The former Arkansas Razorback was on fire.

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals centerfielder was named the Texas League player of the week after hitting .444 (12-of-27) with eight extra base hits. That includes three home runs off the bat of Eibner while he drove in five and scored six runs.

Eibner had a huge day on Saturday as he went 4-of-5 against Springfield wiht two home runs and a pair of doubles. He saw his batting average raise .14 last week to .244.

This was the second time that Eibner earned the award this season. He won his first player of the week honor the week of April 15-22.

Eibner posted multiple hits in each of the last three games heading into Monday's tilt with the Tulsa Drillers.
