A Sebastian County judge denied a motion to seal the investigative file of Gregory Aaron Kinsey, who is accused of killing two men with a machete in Fort Smith last month.

While the file remains open, Judge Stephen Tabor ruled in a Tuesday morning (July 23) hearing that photos taken of the two victims at the crime scene, photos from inside Kinsey’s home and two videos from his cell phone shall not be released.

Prosecuting attorney Dan Shue was also lifted from a temporary order that prohibited him from releasing information to the media requested through the Freedom of Information Act. However, law enforcement agencies and attorneys working the case are still barred from speaking to reporters about the case.

Attorney Teri Chambers, who represents Kinsey, requested a gag order be issued to prevent pretrial publicity.

Kinsey is being held without bond on two counts of capital murder in the Sebastian County Adult Detention Center for the deaths of Nathan Young and Brandon Prince on June 26.
