A candle light vigil was held Wednesday (July 24) for a Fort Smith teen who was killed in a car crash near Little Rock.

Large crowds gathered for the vigil at Trinity Junior High in Fort Smith for 17-year old Ariana Balsara.

Balsara would have been a senior at Northside High School. Those who knew her said she was outstanding student and person.

Balsara was a standout athlete. Her friends said she excelled in cheerleading and track but was most known for performance on the soccer field.

Friends of Balsara said after they left the hospital they looked up and saw an image in the sky that resembled an angel. They said there was angel that appeared in in the clouds and they took that as she`s in heaven.

Balsaras friends say it will be hard not having her at graduation this year and that they will forever miss their best friend.

Friends of Balsara said she planned to study computer science after graduation.
