Boil Order Issued in Bella Vista
The Bella Vista Village POA Water Utility issued a precautionary boil order for water users in several areas Thursday (Aug. 8) after a severe weather caused water main break and flooding.
The boil order affects the following locations: Watson Drive and all side streets, Drifton Drive and Drifton Lane, Winstone Lane, Chelmsworth Drive and side streets, Longridge Lane and side streets, Sandridge Drive and side streets.
Water customers should heat water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before drinking or cooking with it.
The boil order will remain in effect until an adequate disinfection level is established throughout the distribution system for this area and a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink, according to the POA.
The earliest date for the notice to be lifted is August 12.
