Parts of Alma are under a precautionary boil order, officials said Saturday.
Officials with the Highway 71 Water department said a 6-inch water main broke. The boil order is for customers on Dean Springs Road from Valley Side Bend to Firehouse Road, officials said in a release.
People are advised to boil the water for at least one minute before consumption, even for making ice. The release said the boil order will remain in force until the water department receives clearance from the Arkansas Department of Health.
