Students at Paris High School are transitioning to online textbooks this year.

Students will be issued a chromebook computer, which will eventually replace textbooks, according to district officials.

Superintendent Wayne Fawcett said the computers will be phased in slowly, and the district has already purchased nearly 400 chromebooks with carrying cases for each one.

Over the next two years, Fawcett said they plan to implement the change in the elementary and middle schools as well.
