Springdale police are continuing their search for a man they say used a rifle to shoot at several people Saturday night.

Craig Oliver Greene, 29, allegedly used a Kel-Tec 40-caliber rifle to shoot at people after an argument, according to a news release.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired around 10:20 p.m. at a duplex on Van Someren Place. Witnesses told officers there was a verbal argument involving several people, when a man identified as Greene pulled a gun.

No one was injured, but bullet holes were found in three cars, according to the news release.

Teresa Driggs recently moved to the neighborhood with her family. She has two young grandchildren that live with her.

"Now, we’re too scared to even let them come outside and play because we have somebody down the street, whether he’s shooting at people or what he was doing," she said.

The SWAT team surrounded a duplex where Greene was believed to be hiding and brought out a K9 police dog unit hoping to get the suspect’s scent. Neighbors were evacuated and traffic was blocked off near the home during a five-hour standoff.

Tonya Rash, who lives behind the site of the standoff, said SWAT Team members came knocking at her door. Her husband was on his way home from work when police stopped him from getting close to his house.

“It’s not everyday when SWAT comes to your door and says, 'Ma'am, we need to evacuate you,'” Rash said.

Around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, SWAT team officers raided the home, but were unable to  locate Greene.

Greene has a decade-long criminal history.

Most recently, he pleaded guilty to felony aggravated assault in January 2013 and received six years of probation.

In 2010, he was sentenced to five to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to felony charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threatening in the first degree and possession of a firearm by certain persons, according to court records.
