A Springdale man faces two felony charges after he was arrested on suspicion of slashing a man with a knife while trying to steal keys to a truck.

Nicholas Lacoy, 20, was booked in the Washington County Detention Center on Sunday morning and is being held of $7,500 bond, according to the Sheriff’s Office website. Lacoy faces charges of aggravated robbery and terroristic threatening.

A preliminary police report said Springdale police officers responded to fight with a knife involved on the 100 block of South Pleasant Street at approximately 8:55 p.m. Saturday night. When officers arrived, they found a man in a blue pickup truck with two knife wounds and blood on his face, the report said.

The victim told officers a white man with no shirt on had started a fight with him and threatened to “Gut him” while brandishing a knife, the report said. The man tried unsuccessfully to take the keys out of the truck’s ignition, the report said.

Officers found a shirtless white male, identified as Lacoy, a short distance from the alleged attack, and officers at that scene said Lacoy had blood on him and a bloody knife in his pants pocket, the report said. The victim identified the suspect as the man who had cut him and tried to take his keys, the report said.
