They were called to the Kitties and Kanines shop at the Quarry Shopping Center on Rogers Avenue around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 27) on reports that the window of that business had been shot out.
However, the investigating officer says he didn't find a bullet or a hole in the wall inside the business.
“There were some people standing out on the parking lot and they heard a loud thump against the window,” said Officer Anthony Parkinson. “They kind of ducked, didn't know what it was. There was a small hole in the window and then it spider-webbed up and about two minutes later the whole window just popped out.”
Parkinson said it could have been caused by a small caliber gun, pellet gun, BB gun or even a rock.
Meanwhile workers swept up the broken glass and a window company showed up to replace the broken window.
