Toddler Locked In Hot Car In Springdale
A young child is unharmed after being locked in a hot car in Springdale on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Springdale Police Department.
Springdale police and emergency crews responded at about 4:15 p.m. to Eastwood Apartments on Mountain Road in reference to a two-year-old boy who had been locked in a hot car. Crews were able to free the boy from the vehicle and said he is OK.
A caller told police the boy had been in the car for about 10 minutes. It is unclear whether anyone will be cited in the incident.
Springdale emergency crews also responded around the same time to the Springdale Har-Ber High School campus in reference to a girl who was experiencing complications from heat exposure. Medical personnel are on the scene, but have not yet hospitalized the girl, according to the Springdale Fire Department.
