In a 48 hour span, Tyler Wilson went from being named to the 53-man roster of the Oakland Raiders to being released and then being signed as a member of the practice squad.

Wilson was listed as the fourth-team quarterback behind starter Matt Flynn and reserves Terrelle Pryor and Matt McGloin. Wilson, a Greenwood native, was a fourth-round pick of the Raiders in April’s NFL draft.

The former Razorback was 11-of-18 passing for 93 yards in the preseason but played in just two of the Raiders’ four games.

Ronnie Wingo was released by the Atlanta Falcons but was signed as a member of the practice team for the Buffalo Bills, where he joins fellow former Razorback tight end Chris Gragg.

Cobi Hamilton, a sixth-round pick of the Cincinnati Bengals, was released but will be retained by the team as a member of the practice squad.

The Green Bay Packers cut former Arkansas tight end D.J. Williams but he was then signed by the Jacksonville Jaquars.

Despite reports that Dennis Johnson was impressing at Houston Texans camp, the running back was released. Johnson was quickly picked up by the Cleveland Browns.
