The quest for a third straight state championship kicked off for the Fayetteville Bulldogs without a hitch Monday night.
Fayetteville jumped out to an early 14-0 lead and never looked back as they beat Warren 35-21 at Razorbacks Stadium. The Lumberjacks were ranked No. 1 in class 4A to start the season.
Mitch Marshall threw a pair of first half touchdown passes while Dre Greenlaw put in the play of the game on special team. Greenlaw fielded a Warren punt at his own 9, broke a tackle and then was off to the races with a 91 yard return for a touchdown.
Marshall finished his first career start with three touchdown passes while Brayden Cook capped the scoring with a 29-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter.
