Springdale police have arrested two men in connection with last weekend's shooting at Y-Liquors that sent three people to the hospital, the police department released Friday.

Alvaro Rodriguez, 22, faces charges of four counts of committing a terroristic act, criminal mischief and tampering with evidence. Julio Rodriguez, 18, faces charges of hindering apprehension, according to the Springdale Police Department.

Police said Alvaro Rodriguez was the shooter in the altercation, and Julio Rodriguez was the getaway driver.

Detectives said earlier this week they were searching for three Hispanic males who they believe were involved in a shooting that injured three people Saturday (Aug. 31) in the parking lot of Y Liquors.

Several 911 calls came into police dispatch after hearing shots fired.

The incident all caught on surveillance video..

Police said three Hispanic males wearing hoodies pulled up in a silver Ford pickup.

Two of the victims approached the truck, words were exchanged and shots were fired.

“You can see where they fired weapons out the window of the Ford Truck and the one of the victims hit the ground and then the ford pickup fled the scene,” said Lt. Derek Hudson with the Springdale Police Department.

Police said one of the victims was a woman who was sitting in a car and was shot in the back, the other two were men and were shot in the stomach and the leg.

The victim’s ages range from 18-22 were taken to Northwest Medical Center in Springdale with non-life threatening injuries.

As for the motive, Hudson said the victims haven`t told them why they were targeted.

“They haven`t been completely forthcoming about everything that has occurred just yet,” said Hudson.

The victims all knew one another and it’s too early in the investigation to tell whether the incident is gang related, according to Hudson.

“I don’t know if they just both happened to be there and there was an argument occurred because they were there or they met there.  We just don’t know a lot of those details just yet, but from our understanding it didn’t have anything to do with liquor store, it was just them not getting along in the parking lot for some reason,” added Hudson.
