Just when you think you’ve seen Peyton Manning do everything, he does something you’ve never seen him do. Manning tied an NFL-record with seven touchdown passes on Thursday as the Broncos steamrolled the Ravens 49-27 at Sports Authority Field in Denver.

Manning becomes just the sixth player in NFL history to throw seven touchdown passes in a game and first since former Vikings quarterback Joe Kapp did it in 1969. Ironically, Kapp also had his record-setting game against Baltimore when the Vikings beat the Colts 52-14 in Week 2.

Along with the seven touchdown passes, Manning also threw for 462 yards, the second-highest total of his career. The 37-year-old quarterback did a good job of spreading the wealth too, as he hit seven different receivers on his 27-for-42 night. Manning threw zero interceptions in the game, joining Y.A. Tittle as the only other quarterback in NFL history to throw seven touchdown passes with no interceptions.

Leading the way on the receiving end for Denver was Demaryius Thomas. Thomas finished the game with five catches for 161 yards and two touchdowns, including the record-setting seventh touchdown on a 78-yard catch in the fourth quarter. Free-agent newcomer Wes Welker and tight end Julius Thomas also caught two touchdown passes apiece in the game.

Other records

Manning was setting records left and right on Thursday. The game marked the 23rd time in his career that he’s thrown four or more touchdown passes, tying Brett Favre’s record. The win also marked the seventh time in Manning’s career that he’s thrown five or more touchdown passes, tying Drew Brees‘ mark.

The 49 points the Broncos scored against Baltimore were the most the Ravens have given up in their 19-year history. Manning’s seven touchdown passes arguably become even more impressive when you realize Baltimore’s defense didn’t surrender its seventh touchdown pass in 2012 until Week 9.

New fantasy star

If you need a tight end in your fantasy league, you may want to think about picking up Julius Thomas. The Broncos tight end — who was actually arrested on Aug. 28 — caught five passes for 110 yards and two touchdowns.

An old fantasy star — Welker — also had a big night. In his first game with the Broncos, Welker caught nine passes for 67 yards and two touchdowns.

Bronco blunder

The biggest blunder of the game on the Broncos’ end belonged to linebacker Danny Trevathan. Trevathan had a chance to ice the game early in the fourth quarter when he appeared to take a Flacco interception to the house. The only problem? Trevathan did the old DeSean Jackson move and dropped the ball before crossing the goal line for a touchdown.

The Ravens would end up scoring a touchdown on their ensuing possession, but then Manning put the game away later in the fourth with his seventh touchdown pass of the night.
