Rogers Police identify the suspect who forced authorities to put in a call to the Bentonville bomb squad.

Authorities said Eric Mckim's mini-van was hit by a car yesterday (Sept. 7) near Hudson road and Second street. However, Mckim allegedly ran into the woods nearby and shot himself in the hand. He was taken to the hospital and later arrested.

Police said back at his mini-van, officers found a small explosive device and blocked off a section of Hudson for more than three hours.

The bomb squad was called in and safely diffused the device.
