The Rogers airport has received a $75,000 boost in state funding to conduct a wildlife hazard assessment.
Congressman Steve Womack and Sens. Mark Pryor and John Boozman announced the new money Wednesday, saying the funding will help the airport improve safety and operations.
“Safe and efficient transportation is essential to the economic growth of communities in our state,” Pryor said in a statement. “These funds will allow the Rogers Municipal-Carter Field Airport to mitigate wildlife hazards so we can ensure the safe and timely arrival of passengers and cargo.”
