Many retirees are looking to stretch a dollar. Moneyrates.com realized that, so they took a look at U.S. metropolitan areas with the lowest costs of living–removed the cities which also placed in the list of top 100 for crime–and came up with the following:

3.Norman, Okla.
4.Fayetteville, Ark.
5.Wichita Falls, Texas
6.Pueblo, Colo.
7.San Marcos, Texas
8.Conway, Ark.
9.Idaho Falls, Idaho
10.Youngstown-Warren, Ohio
