It's the final day (Sept. 14) of the Crawford County Fair. Today's events kicked off with a parade through downtown Mulberry.
Police, fire fighters, boy scouts and beauty queens showed their Crawford county pride as they paraded down Main street.
At the fairgrounds, Tom Meadors said the fair offers something for everyone.
"All the entries in the home economics building and horticulture has been exhibited and have been judged," said Meadors. "Down in the barn, the kids have shown their animals such as goats, rabbits, sheep, pigs, calves, you name it."
Twelve-year-old Rylli Hammond, a 4-H member from Mountainburg, has been showing animals for six years. She said she spends up to three hours a day caring for her award-winning goats, cows, pigs and chickens.
"I have to wake up early every morning and go out and feed and make sure they have clean water," said Hammond. "It's really a lot of fun."
Hammond's grandmother, Barbara Hammond, said she couldn't be more proud.
"I cried the other night when she won with her heifer cause it's the second year she showed her heifer, and it was really emotional for me to see her do that," she said.
Hammond planned to sell her 220-pound third-place winning pig, Willie, at the fair's livestock auction. She plans to save the money for college.
